Short itinerary

Day 01: Cusco | Challa cancha – Soraypampa – Laguna Humantay

Start the trek from Challacancha to reach Soraypampa and in the afternoon continue to the Humantay lagoon. Overnight at the camp on the route.

Day 02: Salkantaypampa – Abra Salkantay – Soyrococha – Soraypampa – Cusco

During the morning, you will ascend to the Abra Salkantay through the Trail of the 7 Serpents to admire the impressive views before lunchtime. Then you will return to the city of Cusco by private transport.

Day 01: Cusco | Challacancha – Soraypampa – Laguna Humantay

We will start our 2-day adventure in Cusco early in the morning with our tour guide and private transportation picking you up at your hotel. After enjoying a nutritious breakfast in Mollepata, we will head to Challa Cancha for a short rest before starting the hike to Soraypampa, where our campsite is located. In this first part the difficulty is moderate. Along the way, you will be able to admire the beautiful Andean landscape and follow a small Inca canal. Once at the Sky Camp, located in front of the majestic Salkantay and Humantay mountains, our chef will serve you a delicious lunch. Afterwards, you can rest in your igloo or walk around the site before the afternoon hike to the impressive Humantay Lake (4,200 masl/13,780 ft.). Once at the top, you will be able to admire the view of the lagoon with a snowy backdrop and receive information from your guide. When we return to our Sky Camp and after dinner, you can enjoy the constellations from your igloo before going to sleep. The next day, you will return to Soraypampa to take the private transportation back to Cusco, ending this unforgettable adventure in the natural beauty of Peru.

Day 02: Salkantaypampa – Abra Salkantay – Soyrococha – Soraypampa – Cusco

Join us on this second day of our two-day adventure in the Cusco region. We will start with a full breakfast before gradually climbing up to Salkantaypampa. From there, we will enter the Trail of the 7 Serpents, a challenging but impressive path that will take us to the Abra de Salkantay (4,630 m / 15,190 ft). At this point, you will have the opportunity to take unforgettable photographs and enjoy the breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains. Then, we will descend through a unique rocky landscape and arrive at our lunch spot, Soyrococha. Once we have recovered our energy, we will continue descending towards Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting for us. On the way back to Cusco, you will have many opportunities to take excellent photos of the beautiful Andean landscapes, including valleys, mountains, rivers and fields.
